This traditional joint is carefully prepared by our family for yours. Flavoursome and perfect for slow cooking, this gammon joint is a great choice if you are looking to mix up your choice of centrepiece for a roast lunch or dinner. A slow roast gammon joint creates melt-in-the-mouth meat, and even better you are left with scrumptious ham for your sandwiches the next day.
Cooking Tips
Gammon joints are incredibly versatile and can be infused with a range of delicious ingredients to create different flavours and recipes. Our favourite is honey glazed gammon, a simple dish yet bursting with flavour. Place your gammon joint in a large saucepan, cover with water and add desired infusing ingredients such as bay leaves, onion, carrots, celery and star anise. Bring to the boil over a high heat and then lower to a gentle simmer for around 1 hour. Allow the joint to rest in the liquid for a while, soaking up all those incredible flavours. Transfer the meat to a roasting tray and score with a sharp knife. Generously brush the gammon with your honey glaze mixture and pop into a preheated oven until the joint is golden and sticky. Always ensure gammon joints are cooked thoroughly before serving.

Delivery Service
We began our online delivery service to help serve our community in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. It proved vital to help many residents get through some tough months and is a service we are very happy to continue improving. We currently have 2 separate delivery services for Local and National.
Provenance
We’ve always had certain things we like done a certain way. And most of these have to do with making fresh food from the finest ingredients. Like our flour. We get it straight from the mill for our pies and pastries. And our meats, freshly supplied by reputable farmers with a keen sense of quality. Even our seasonal fruit and veg comes straight from local farms, and then goes right into our customers’ baskets and ready meals.
