Easy to cook steak dinner? The perfect dish to impress your loved one.

Here we have Eric Lyons very own Entrecote flat steak fakeaway pack.

Suitable if you are looking to impress your loved one, Or a fellow friend/family member you dearly love.

The centrepiece of this pack is the Steak. The cut itself is of the end of the Sirloin where it meets the Rump. As it doesn't seem to have a common name we have announced it the Entrecote flat.

Shopping list

 600 g Pre seasoned Entrecote flat steak (End of the sirloin)
 1 Red onion
 10 Button mushrooms
 500 g Gratin potatoes
 8 Cherry tomatoes
 2 Verstegen peppercorn sauce

Method

1

Get your steak to room temperature. (Approx. 3 hours out the fridge)

Pre heat oven to 180c

Place your Potato Gratin into the oven for 30 minutes. (Grate cheese on top? Personal preference)

Place your garlic mushroom and onion medley & tomatoes into the oven for 20 minutes.

Season steak with salt and pepper if it isn't already

Get a pan to a very hot heat and add a splash of oil.

Lay the steak into the pan (away from you to avoid splashing oil onto yourself)

Sear steak for 3 minutes both sides.

Add a good knob of butter to the pan and bathe the steak with the foam it creates. Cook the steak for roughly a further 3 minutes both sides. (Watch video for precise instructions)

Rest the steak for 10 minutes after cooking. (DON'T YOU DARE CUT INTO IT BEFOREHAND!)

Slice your steak.

Once the components to the dish are cooked heat your peppercorn sauce and plate up.
