Pork, mushrooms and green onion encased in crispy Chinese wonton wrappers.

Wontons are much easier to make than you may expect, and they make for a great appetiser at dinner parties.

 225 g Minced pork
 6 White button mushrooms, chopped
 1 Green onion, chopped
 1 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
 1 Garlic clove, minced
 1 tbsp Soy sauce
 1 tsp Sesame oil
 24 Wonton wrappers
 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
 Salt and pepper, to taste
1

Combine the minced pork, white button mushrooms, green onion, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil in a mixing bowl to make the stuffing. Season with salt and pepper and then set aside.

2

Spoon two teaspoons of stuffing into the centre of each wonton wrapper. Then, brush the wrappers with a few drops of water and then fold them in the shape of a triangle. Make sure to press down on the wrappers once they're folded to remove any air bubbles.

3

Place the wontons on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and oil, then transfer to an oven that's been preheated to 180°C and bake for 25 minutes, flipping the wontons halfway through.

4

Serve the wontons with soy sauce.
