I ordered the chicken pies and OMG they are absolutely to die for the chicken is so so tender and what's more is It is not chunks of chicken, It,s more like pulled chicken which is even more better, and I will certainly be placing another order and I would definitely recommend you will not regret it.
Only eaten 2 items of my order so far , lemon sponge pudding was particularly delicious 😋 and I just have to mention packaging outstanding best packaged item I have received by far
I bought a 4kg rolled belly pork joint to feed my family for a Father’s Day lunch.I over ordered because the meat was such great value and so I got enough for 7 adults out of 2/3 of the joint. The rest I put in the freezer for another Sunday lunch.The meat was prepared perfectly by Eric Lyons butchers which enabled me to salt the rind easily over night to dry the skin, and then prior to roasting. I roasted the meat on a trivet, in a large roasting tin, in my fan oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees, then reduced the heat to 110 and cooked the meat for just under three hours.The meat was tender, the fat was delicious, and the crackling was perfect.The portion that was frozen defrosted overnight and was every bit as good as the fresh one.Highly recommended. Will definitely be buying again.
Turkey & ham pie pure junk! Few pieces of dry turkey, mostly large chunks of ham making it very salty & virtually inedible. Complaint made with refund request, not even acknowledged. Previous orders both direct & through family/friends have been good but this place has gone right downhill. Just tried to upload photo, even that doesn't work - keeps giving me an error message.
I used to travel to buy their foodstuffs but especially the Curries. I had a change in circumstances and also found I could buy online, which works very well, and thanks to James for his help and his positive reception of feedback. Was able to call in again today and I doubt if there is a more helpful or pleasant representative of the Company than Sophie. Well done to them and to her.Excellent customer service makes buying their products a positive experience.
The food was nice. We did panic about it arriving in time though for an Easter Sunday lunch with family. Delivery was supposed to be on the Friday and we waited in all day. It arrived on the Saturday instead. It was still chilled but it was close.

If i could give an extra star, i would!Brilliant service everytime i visit here. All the staff are amazing however the man who served me on my most recent visit was extremely helpful and made my day! Unsure of his name however he was so funny and really an asset to this shop. Would highly recommend this family run business and hope to see it grow in the future!Thanks all again :)
I have been ordering a variety of ready meals over the last couple of weeks all very well packaged and delivered by friendly drivers. On the whole I have enjoyed most of the meals especially the cottage pie and the spaghetti bolognese very tasty but I have to say I found the meatballs and faggots a little bit bland , I think they could have done with a little more seasoning but that is only my personal opinion . The portion sizes are very good and I like the choices that are available.
Had a mixture of products. Fresh meat, homemade pies, coleslaw, apple pie. All was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. So far everything I have eaten from the order is delicious. I have frozen a few things and all has defrosted really well. Delivery was very quick and i got mine free. Great value for money and I will order again.

Eric Lyon’s food is delicious.This time I ordered mince pies and festive pie and it looked and tasted very special and indulgent.I’ve eaten pies, lasagnes, curry’s, bacon, and sweet pies from here in the past and have enjoyed all the meals. The beef pie topped with a dumpling crust was always my fave and the veggie lasagnes and lamb curry’s.Sorry I didn’t take photos it all got eaten so quick at my Xmas party!

Decent prices and selection. I put together two meat boxes as Xmass gifts and they got on time, very well packed and the recipients were very happy with them. Great way to let the culinary creativity fly!

We had the Argentinian steak skewers, and they were great! The burgers were also very tasty and tender.
Best butchers in the midlands. The shop is brilliant, the staff are friendly and there is an extensive range of produce. James in particular, is very helpful on the phone.

This is a butcher with a difference! Conveniently located on Knowle High Street with plenty of nearby parking. As you enter, grab a wicker shopping basket. You're going to need it! Super cuts of fresh meat, kebabs, etc. Move over to the left, and you have Eric Lyons pies. Once tasted, there's no going back. Rammed full of delicious meat, choices such as chicken, steak, and ale. Then, they have a hot counter, so grab your snack here. Over to the fridges there are cheeses, puddings, fresh pocketed foods to eat or home freeze. In the middle are all the sauces, bread, veg, and other fresh meats. As you can tell, it's a bit of a one stop high quality shop! Staff are helpful and friendly so you really have a decent shopping experience. We gave family in Scotland who get it delivered there, they love it so much!
First time using Eric Lyon’s and I’m so impressed! The quality and taste is just exceptional and I’m really enjoying each meal and looking forward to dinner time again. The delivery service is so helpful if you don’t live local as it’s all fresh and comes so quickly.
Recently had buffet food from here for our sons Christening and it was fantastic quality with people commenting how good the food was. There was a good variety and enough to satisfy everyone. Would definitely recommend and use for any future events.
Arrived on time. Very well packaged. Only tried the pasties as yet but if everything else is as delicious I will be reordering. Pasties were absolutely packed with tasty and well seasoned mince beef and veg. Fabulous pastry, perfect. Quick update, ate the lamb and mint family pie yesterday,packed with tender pieces of lamb, crust was luscious.

I've stopped buying others nothing compares! sliced up to freeze is easy, they don't fall apart or lose any filling.Selection of products whether ordering online or at the shop is extensive, the knowledge and customer service second to none.Great food & look forward to buying from you again
I was so impressed by my Eric Lyons Christmas order. We've moved to East Sussex and our order of both chilled and frozen products travelled overnight, arriving next day in perfect condition in excellent insulated packaging.I'll definitely be ordering online again!
Bought a fish and chip supper from the local chip shop when my wife and myself visited Knowle, which included a Eric Lyons steak and kidney pie. When we returned home I ordered some of these pies to be delivered.The order came a couple of days later, and I was impressed at the care and packaging that they came with.Even the ice block that was inserted in the substantial packaging was still partially frozen. WELL DONE
We had our pie and skittles night last Saturday and 36 of us enjoy a selection of all your pies. Absolutely delicious, all plates came back empty. I can certainly say the lamb and mint was amazing, meat just melted and the right hint of mint. Eric Lyons you never disappoint from service to quality you are the best. Many thanks Pat Medina
Excellent family butcher, mixing old fashioned, high standards of customer service with the option of modern cuts, styles and products. We started to visit there store about twelve months ago when looking for quality and provenance for the meat we bought, and now won’t go anywhere else. The nationwide delivery is a massive bonus now too!

They have a great website which offers a handy choice of collection or home delivery service, and we’ve been customers since moving to Knowle 27 years ago, and happily recommend them to family and friends far and wide. Had a hog roast supplied and served by staff at Eric Lyon’s, food was amazing and service was first class. They delivered all the equipment the day before and setup, arrived on time the next day with the hog, set it going. Came back and finished it off and served for 2 hours to my guests. Cleared all away, everything. Can’t recommend them enough, would definitely use them again

We began our online delivery service to help serve our community in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. It proved vital to help many residents get through some tough months and is a service we are very happy to continue improving. We currently have 2 separate delivery services for Local and National.
Provenance
We’ve always had certain things we like done a certain way. And most of these have to do with making fresh food from the finest ingredients. Like our flour. We get it straight from the mill for our pies and pastries. And our meats, freshly supplied by reputable farmers with a keen sense of quality. Even our seasonal fruit and veg comes straight from local farms, and then goes right into our customers’ baskets and ready meals.
