Cooking Tips
Cooking and serving a 250g Camembert is a delightful and simple process, often enjoyed as a warm and gooey cheese dip. Here's how to do it:
Ingredients:
1 whole Camembert cheese (approximately 250g)
1-2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced (optional)
Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional)
Crusty bread, crackers, or sliced vegetables for serving
Instructions:
Preheat Your Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Camembert:
Remove any packaging from the Camembert. If you like, you can score the top of the cheese with a sharp knife and insert thin slices of garlic or fresh herbs into the cuts. This will infuse the cheese with extra flavor.
Wrap in Parchment Paper:
Place the Camembert on a piece of parchment paper. This helps prevent it from sticking to the ovenproof dish and makes cleanup easier.
Bake the Camembert:
Place the Camembert (still in its wooden box or an ovenproof dish) on a baking sheet. Bake it in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and gooey in the center. The top should develop a golden-brown crust.
Serve Immediately:
Remove the baked Camembert from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Then, place it on a serving plate or board, still in its box or dish.
Dip and Enjoy:
Camembert can be served with crusty bread, crackers, or sliced vegetables for dipping. Encourage your guests to dip into the warm, molten cheese. It's a perfect appetizer or snack for sharing.
Serve the warm Camembert while it's still gooey and delicious. It's a crowd-pleaser and can be customized with your choice of dippers or garnishes to suit your preferences.
