If you’re reliable, friendly, and keen to learn, we can teach you the skills you need– whether that’s preparing meat, running a shop floor, preparing pies, or leading a team. Many of our team members begin in entry‑level positions and progress quickly as they grow in confidence and capability.

A great example of this is Jack Carpenter, who originally joined Eric Lyons as a Chef de Partie. Through dedication, training, and taking on new challenges, Jack completed a management apprenticeship and worked his way up to become the General Manager of the entire company– all within just six years. Stories like Jack’s aren’t rare here; they’re part of who we are. When you join our team, you’re joining a place where ambition is recognized and opportunity is real.

We offer a wide range of roles across the business, from retail and butchery to kitchen, production, delivery, management, and specialist food positions. For those wanting to learn a trade, we also offer Level 2 Butchery Apprenticeships & Level 3 Butchery Apprenticeships, giving new team members a chance to develop hands‑on skills while working in a supportive, practical environment.
